Naturally, bees are peaceful creatures and in general are not as aggressive towards people and pets as wasps and hornets.
Bee control, and nest removal
Most bees belong to one of three main groups, honey bees, solitary bees and bumble bees.
Identifying what type of bee you have is the most crucial step. There are 267 different species of bee in the UK so this can be challenging. Some solitary bees can often be misidentified as honey bees or wasps.
Contrary to popular belief, bees are not protected and can be treated (euthanized), however UK bee numbers are showing a dramatic decline in numbers so we always recommend exploring all other avenues before considering eradication and would always try to relocate your bees where possible.
